Rethinking things

So, it doesn't seem that I am the only one that is lagging behind on her blogging entries--it seems that everyone I read is in the same boat, especially Kristy over at She Walks. It also seems that both she and I are a little fustrated with ourselves at the direction our blogs are going in.

She has been keeping part of her life secret, mainly the man in her life, from her blog and although we all respect her decision to keep part of life off from the internet (he's a blogger too and would read her posts....drama inevitable) we were also missing out on a very important part of her life and that's what we love about her. Her "breezy elegance" with everything in life, her drinking wine straight from the box, her hilarious recounts of dates and events that make us want to read her daily. And I think she's come to a realization that by not putting stuff up on the internet for us to read, she is hiding part of herself and not being true to herself.

Now, it's not that I have a secret life that I'm keeping off line, but I feel that my blog has gone from it's original intention- about me, going through this thing we call life and having a little fun along the way. It's become more of a day-to day retelling of the night before or of conversations with DC boy and not about me. This is one place where I can be selfish and make whomever is reading this read only about me! and I hope to return back to that starting....Now.

and maybe that means more pictures! :) maybe even pictures of my horribly bruise ankle pre-surgery and of my loverly ugly ass white cast post-surgery. woohoo
